Nyama Baptist Church, Lower Gweru

Nyama Baptist Church was one of two Baptist churches which were planted a number of years ago under the evangelistic efforts of Mkoba Baptist Church in Gweru.

About 13 years ago, volunteers from Locust Grove, Georgia came to the place where Nyama Baptist Church had been given a small plot of land. They poured a concrete foundation and put up poles and a roof over the foundation. After that, members of the church made their own bricks.

Then they bricked up the walls and put in windows and doors.

The church grew slowly at first, but over time, began to multiply their membership.

Suddenly they were bursting at the seams!

So they tore down one wall of their church building, doubled the foundation size. Then they made more bricks and bricked up the new wall around the enlarged foundation, also including windows and a door.

We are thankful for this church which is growing spiritually as well as physically!
